Eggs are in the news again. And when eggs are in the news, people worry about food safety. And when food safety violations and animal cruelty charges of a mega egg producer are in the news, mega businesses worry.

the alleged 13 food safety violations at Sparboe Farms, McDonald's
announced it would no longer be buying eggs from the nation's fifth
largest shell egg producer. Target followed their lead hours later.
